G’day mate from “Down Under”!
well, I am not there now writing this blog but I had the opportunity to travel to Melbourne, Australia for four days on a business trip this week and I have to say it was very exciting. Our collegues there made work pretty easy for us and we enjoyed our stay a lot.
I stayed at the Crown Promenade near city centre. It is part of a huge entertaining complex with casinos, shopping and exquisite dining. www.crownpromenade.com.au
The weather has been really nice for us Bavarian fellers who could escape from cold conditions over in Germany. At the beginning of spring in AUS, we had lovely 26-30°C and some little rain on Wednesday.
There also is the myth of water turning in the opposite direction than in the Northern hemisphere…well I had to try that one, hadn’t I? Click here to see the evidence:

Well, I have to say that the water doesn’t turn differently than here in Bavaria. I have learned that it depends on the Coriolis effect; but I am not in the mood for physics/ chemistry this morning so check out wikipedia if you like

Melbourne as a city has to offer something for everybody. You find good shopping, fine dining, nice beaches, marinas for boating, golf courses, an aquarium in city centre and a great zoo….just to name a few. Unfortunately, I didn’t have the time to check the city out in a “touristy” way but I just felt very comfortable and safe there. Melbourne reminded my a lot of California/ San Diego County; so maybe that’s why I liked it there so much
Have you been to Melbourne or just liked something on “esskunst” Just leave me a comment.
Guten Morgen und einen schönen 2. Advent!

Christine, I’m so thrilled for the adventures you are having!!!
Christine,
That is quite the life you are leading. We will probably never see you in the US if you get to travel for work to such exotic places. I am very happy for you.
