Super fast Mushroom Pasta in under 20 minutes

I’m always happy to find a quick and easy recipe that is both super yummy and not very time consuming. This pasta dish I am going to show you today is a great way to serve your family a full and proper meal in less than half an hour!

I hope it’s ok when I don’t tell you how to cook pasta here :-) Chose your fave pasta and prepare it to your liking. The sauce can be prepared during the cooking process of your pasta. All the measures are given per person. It’s your turn to do the maths:

1,5 cups of sliced mushrooms
2 tablespoons of cream cheese (you can use one flavored with herbes/ garlic or I even found one with mushrooms in it the other day)
1/4 cup of milk
a few walnuts to sprinkle over your finished pasta

1-2 tablespoons olive oil for the pan (you’ll only need this amount for the full recipe)
pinch of salt, white pepper, pinch ground nutmeg

Start with the pasta sauce when your pasta cooking time is passed half way.
Heat your olive oil in your pan and add the mushrooms to it when hot. Let the mushrooms catch some color and then add the cream cheese and milk to the pan. The cream cheese will give the sauce a wonderful creamy texture. Let it simmer for a few minutes on low to medium heat. The sauce will thicken during that time. If the suace is too thick for your liking you can add some water from the pasta pot. When your pasta is ready season the sauce to your liking and your fast meal is ready to be served.
